It was 18 months ago that this cute little guy decided to join us. WOW, 18 months! Time sure is flying by. He is getting so big and independent.

Not only is today his half birthday, he had a Dr. appt as well.

Jake is 31.5 inches tall. That means he is in the 27% for his actual age.

Jake weighs 22 lbs. That means he is in the 7% for his actual age.

Jake’s noggin is 17.5 in. around. That means he is in the 1% for his actual age.

Finally, after 18 months, Jake is now officially on the “actual” growth chart. No more comparing “actual” to “adjusted”. No more wondering which one is more correct.

A very special day indeed.

He is eating a Tootsie Roll and he is loving it.

We decided that Jake probably shouldn’t carve pumpkins yet, so he got to paint both of his.

Steve and I made our first scarecrow together. We thought he came out pretty good.

We had a little family get together for Halloween. It was so much fun. And Yes! We dressed the dogs up too.

We took Jake to the pumpkin patch again. I think he enjoyed it a little more than he did last year

He wanted to pick up the pumpkins even when some of them were bigger than him. He went on the hay ride and walked through some mud.

Look! I can hold this one just fine.

Look at the difference between last year and this year.

We hope everyone has a safe, scary, and candy-filled Halloween.

Our internet is temporarily not working. We will have lots of new pictures as soon we can figure out why it isn’t working. Throwing things hasn’t helped at all.
Here is our first official professional family picture!!! Do you like it?

Jake is walking like a pro now. He is getting so big. He has his first molar coming in, and he is NOT thrilled about it. It seems like he has been working on it for a while now, but I think it is getting ready to pop through finally.

I hope everyone has wonderful weekend.
This little boy…

is starting to walk really well. He figured out that he can slide on his socked feet down the hallway while chasing the cat.

He walks really well in grass too!!!

Obviously, he is still a water baby.

But not when mama takes full body photos in the bath!

“If you touch my toothbrush, I might have to scream!!!”

That is how Jake feels about his toothbrush. Word of advise…DON”T TOUCH IT!!!

These black & whites were taken about an hour ago. He loves going outside.

Everyone enjoy a wonderful weekend. We are headed to the Busker Festival tonight! Fire eaters, jugglers, bands, living statues, you name it, it is probably there.
So, I bet you guys are just curious what the Jakester monkey has been up to. He is 15 months now, and…well…he can WALK! I know, crazy stuff right? He started walking the first weekend of August and now he has just taken off. My little 2lb. 9oz. baby can walk!!! Can you believe that? I have some videos of him walking and I will put them on here soon.

He points to about everything and says “dat dat?” “dat dat?” He loves to look at books. I am pretty sure that between Steve and Jake, that our entire house will be wall to wall, ceiling to floor BOOKS!!! When he goes into a room he looks for the light switch so he can turn the lights on and off, and apparently it is sooooo fun to climb on the coffee table, turn around, dangle your feet off the side and scoot until you land on your feet. At least Jake thinks so. Now, that he can walk fairly well he loves to be chased. I told Steve that he will be running in a month. That is my bet.

Jake went to the Dr. yesterday. He is 30″ tall. (actual he is in the 18%, corrected he is in the 50%); He weighs 19lbs 8oz. (actual he is in the 2%, corrected he is in the 6%). So he is tall and slim. He did get one shot at the appt. but that brave little boy didn’t cry, he just made a pouty face. Oh, yeah, our walking 15 month old is still in a rear facing car seat. It is quite the dilemma actually, he is one inch to tall to be in a rear-facing car seat, but 1/2lb under the requirement for forward facing. So…the Dr. said to wait 2 weeks then turn him around. HOORAY!!! I won’t have to carry the car seat anymore!!! It is getting very heavy.
